Terms of service

Palau is a SaaS platform enabling sustainability professionals and companies to collect, manage, and report ESG data aligned with frameworks such as CSRD and VSME.

Core features include:

• Uploading files and entering datapoint responses
• Using and customizing regulatory templates
• Inviting team members and managing collaboration
• Accessing AI-assisted guidance
• Tracking progress toward reporting goals
• Purchasing access to ESG/CSRD-related training modules

Users may sign up using email/password or through Google or LinkedIn via Auth0.

A single account supports up to 40 users.

Consultants or firms must create separate accounts for each client; alias email addresses may be used to streamline management.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and all activities under your account.

We offer a 30-day free trial with no obligation to upgrade. Data entered during the trial will be retained in case you choose to upgrade later.

Subscription pricing is annual. Reporting module invoicing is handled directly by Palau. Course payments are processed through Stripe.

You may contact us to upgrade your user cap, file storage limit, or AI usage allowance.

Failure to pay for an active subscription may result in suspension of service.

We will contact you in advance regarding any payment issues.

Prices may change with prior notice and will not affect already active annual plans.

Users may upload files of any type up to a combined total of 1GB per account and a maximum of 20MB per file.

AI interactions are capped at €10/month by default. This limit can be increased upon request.

Users must not use the Service to:

• Upload malware or unlawful content
• Scrape or extract platform data in bulk
• Interfere with platform stability or security

You retain full ownership of all data you upload or input into Palau.

Uploaded content is only accessible to your account and cannot be reused across other accounts.

We maintain industry-standard security measures, including encryption and access controls, to protect your data.

All platform content, templates, software, and branding are the exclusive property of Palau BV.

You may not copy, resell, or publicly share any part of the platform without written permission.

We strive to maintain uptime within reasonable limits. Planned downtime (e.g., for maintenance) will be communicated in advance and scheduled outside regular working hours when possible.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service temporarily or permanently with reasonable notice.

You may cancel your account at any time by contacting us at info@palauproject.com.

In cases of non-payment or policy violations, we will attempt to contact the account owner. If unresolved, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate the account.

After account closure, we may retain your data for a standard period of 30 days, after which it will be deleted unless otherwise agreed.

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. While we aim for a reliable and secure platform, we make no guarantees regarding uptime, performance, or accuracy of outputs.

Palau BV shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Belgium. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Antwerp, Belgium.
